In my paintings, the other is not a visitor from universe, but the unknown within: animalistic, instinctive, driven. Inspired by Levinas’ idea of the radical Other and Haraway’s hybrid bodies, my figures merge the human with the unfamiliar and becomes a confrontation with desire, strangeness, and the fragile borders of the self.
